Write your privacy, terms and returns pages

The three pages customers check before they trust you. BODOS gives them a permanent home in your website’s footer; the words are yours to write. This is general information, not legal advice; have a lawyer check your pages.

Tip: Write like you would explain your rules to a customer at the counter. Clear, fair language builds more trust than any paragraph of legal wording.

Draft your privacy page

Draft your privacy page first. Explain what you collect — names, phone numbers, addresses — why you collect it, and how a customer can ask you to delete their details.

Draft your terms page

Draft your terms page. Cover who you are, what you sell, how payment and delivery work, and how disagreements are handled. Plain sentences beat legal phrases.

Draft your returns page

Draft your returns page. State your return window, the condition you accept items back in, who pays for return delivery, and how and when refunds are made.

List them in the footer

In the editor, open Design, then the Footer tab, and list your legal pages under the Legal heading. They then appear in the footer of every page of your website.

Keep them current

Review all three pages whenever your process changes — new payment options, new delivery areas — and keep the information on them accurate and current.
